GirlBunnyBoyBunny: A children’s story for adults.
A girl bunny named Tawny. A boy bunny named Derek. A little patch of lawn on Paris Avenue in Nashville. An unquenchable, albeit complicated, love.
One warm evening, not long ago, I happened upon two rabbits lounging in my yard. I wondered if they had just met and what kind of conversation they might be having. Before long, what started out as a silly Facebook post about two bunnies in love turned into GirlBunnyBoyBunny. It’s still silly, of course, but the characters have developed their own quirky personalities as they struggle to live and love on their little patch of green. I consider meeting Tawny and Derek a happy accident, but I would be remiss not to let their bright, sometimes problematic, universe blossom for all to see.
